Position Qualifications

Service Desk Estimator:

The main role is primarily customer based. The perfect candidate will be creating estimates for potential customers, preparing work orders as well for the technicians in the shop. There will be instances where you will have to check the vehicle owner’s insurance, collect information on the price of parts, determine what repairs are necessary, and handle special requests.

  • Grow your knowledge of automotive parts, labor, repairs, etc.
  • Visually inspect vehicles to assess damage and collaborate with technicians for more details
  • Calculate the cost of repairs, including labor costs, part replacement, and more
  • Use computer software to order parts, calculate costs, and gather customer information
  • Communicate costs with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians
  • Negotiate costs depending on the needs of the facility, customer, and insurance adjuster
  • Gather updates on repairs and communicate them with customers as needed
  • Research current market trends, industry standards, repair techniques, and more
  • Update records, organize customer information, and delete old files as needed
  • Must have minimum 5 years of experience
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Bodyman

We are searching for a skilled auto body technician to add to our team. Your primary job in this role will be to work on the exteriors of our clients’ vehicles. This will involve repairing, replacing, and upgrading a variety of car parts.

You will also spend time refinishing vehicles and preparing them to be painted. This will involve sanding cars, ordering necessary supplies from the paint department, and ensuring that the body of the vehicle is ready to take on a new coat of paint.

Our auto body technicians work as part of our larger vehicle care team. It’s important that you’re able to work well with others and capable of demonstrating professionalism in the workplace. Auto Body Technician Responsibilities:
  • Repair, replace, and upgrade a variety of vehicle parts
  • Perform diagnostic tests to ensure that all issues have been detected and resolved before returning the car to the customer
  • Perform cost estimations before beginning jobs
  • Follow all workplace safety requirements
  • Prepare cars to be painted by sanding and refinishing them
Auto Body Technician Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience as an auto body technician is required
  • Ability to utilize a wide variety of car maintenance and repair tools
  • Basic technological and mathematical proficiency
  • Willingness to work during the evening and on the weekend
  • Ability to follow all workplace safety requirements
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Painter

Refinishes damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership quality specifications and time standards.

  • Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
  • Removes rust from metal, and grease and dirt from work surface.
  • Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.
  • Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
  • Mixes paint according to specifications.
  • Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
  • Paints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriate.
  • Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags and unpainted areas.
  • Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested.
  • Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Automotive Painter Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Ability to work with others and communicate well
  • Reliable transportation
  • Basic technological and mathematical proficiency
  • Willingness to work during the evening and on the weekend
  • Ability to follow all workplace safety requirements
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License
